Our video for Tall Ships Falmouth 2021 announces the return of this major event. Yes, once again the ship(s) have come in for the Cornish town. This is the sixth time since 1996 that the maritime festival has been held in Falmouth, which last hosted in 2014. Then, hundreds of thousands of participants and spectators attended. This time, as our video shows, organisers have taken extra steps to ensure a fun and safe day for all.
Tall Ships Falmouth 2021
August the 18th and 19th 2021 is the date for your calendar, when up to 40 tall ships start their Magellan-Elcano 500 Series race to A Coruna in Spain. Before the race starts, visitors can see the vessels gathered in Falmouth. There will also be a parade of sail-sure to be a truly spectacular sight. In addition, there will be boat trips available to get a closer look (some of the vessels are over an impressive 100 metres long). Because of social distancing, however, there are no plans to allow visitors to board the tall ships.
Tall Ships Video
The video was launched as part of a marketing campaign. So far, it’s had over 25,000 views on social media and counting. We used Tall Ships footage we gathered in 2014 to create a tantalising glimpse of what’s in store. Locals and visitors alike will be treated to a fun-filled regatta. With lots of harbour-side activities and participants from all over the world, Falmouth will be buzzing. It will be a great event, and we hope to be there to capture events as they unfold in August 2021.
