Soundview Media premiered a 360 film in co-creation with the University of Plymouth

Europe’s Largest Immersive Dome

Plymouth’s 360 immersive dome is an amazing space and place to create content for, and the team at SoundView have been proudly producing and delivering exciting and innovative projects since it opened in 2021 . A one if it’s kind in Europe the 360 by 210 degree 12 metre arena with a level floor and no fixed seating makes it a fantastically versatile theatre in which to immerse, entertain and inform people.  The latest installation saw a three course dinner party for 80 people and we were commissioned to create a centrepiece immersive 360 dome film specially for the event.

Ocean Tech Expo Week

As a curtain raiser for Ocean Tech Expo Week, The University of Plymouth hosted a curated dinner and immersive experience in Plymouth’s Market Hall Dome. The evening came at a significant moment: following the launch of the National Centre for Marine Autonomy, growing momentum around Smart Sound and Sub Sea Connect, and a deepening body of cross-sector collaboration that is positioning Plymouth as the UK’s defining coastal testbed for innovation where the Blue and Creative Economies meet.  The audience had representatives from across marine, defence, creative, research and funding  – not simply to celebrate what’s been built, but to have a serious conversation about the role creative capability plays in unlocking growth, new market creation, investment readiness and public engagement across marine, defence and environmental sectors – and what Plymouth is uniquely placed to do about it.

An opportunity to network and share experiences

Networking and Conversations

The evening was a terrific opportunity for new conversations and networking bringing a huge buzz to proceedings . Between courses attendees shared fascinating insights from their experience of working collaboratively within and outside of their sector and the benefits that brings. SoundViews managing director Gareth Allen was asked to say a few words to introduce and frame the film we had co-created.
