The Elizabethan House is an outstanding test of time. The building nestling in the heart of Plymouth’s historic Barbican has recently undergone restoration works and is at last welcoming visitors back. Soundview worked alongside the team at The Box to create a teaser video, showing off the attraction and inviting young and old to come and explore. Described as a multi sensory audio visual tour, this one of a kind exhibition and is a must see.
What Lies Ahead
The house dates from the late 1500’s and over the centuries was home to many interesting folk. On the tour you’ll get to listen to the stories and lives of these former residents and what life was like for them in days gone by. Telling these stories from past to present in an interactive tour is portrayed in the video.
We wanted to add to the already mystical and spooky atmosphere so we applied sound effects and light filters to create an atmosphere akin to what you’ll experience in the house. The interior of the building has been created to feel alive and capturing that was a key aim of the production. Finally, we didn’t want to give too much away, just enough to encourage visitors to experience it for themselves. We’d recommend you to do so. It’s well worth a visit.
