Mindset-XR

The Includiverse team had an amazing 24 hours in the welsh capital of networking, demonstrations, conversations and connections. First up Mindset-XR innovation roadshow 2026. Led by Innovate UK, Mindset-XR is a multi-milion pound initiative to develop and scale immersive metal health treatments. The roadshow landed in Cardiff Bay featuring Wales based organisations who’re innovating using immersive tech such as VR and AI to improve outcomes for people suffering with mental ill health. The well-being projects are providing help to a wide spectrum of people in need, from victims of violence specifically violence against women and girls (VAWG) to those who ‘re suicidal. It was humbling to hear how immersive tech for good is having positive impacts on patients and service users across Wales. The Includiverse shared their experiences of using augmented reality for wellbeing and shared knowledge and ideas of additional uses for immersive tech in mental health settings.

Full Dome UK 2026

Next on our whistle-stop tour of Cardiff was Full Dome UK 2026 at CultVR for a celebration of fulldome as an artistic medium, featuring film screenings, talks, demos, workshops, live immersive performances and interactive artworks. We’ve attended the festival regularly – and it was good to see it back after taking a rest in 2025. The very first FDUK event was held back in 2010 in our home city of Plymouth. It was great to catch up with people we’ve met at previous events and those new to the festival with some valuable conversations which could, fingers crossed, lead to some exciting new collaborations. Congratulations to all the award winners – whose work is exemplary and inspirational. We hope to see you all at the next event.
