Do you prefer sunrise or sunset?
Well, you’ll be in luck as we managed to capture them both. We made sure the weather was good and that we knew the timings for the sun rising and setting. From there, we let the camera work its magic and create these videos for us.
Luckily for us, we have cameras designed to capture timelapse’s but nowadays, most smartphones have built-in settings allowing anyone to create them. Our cameras however are built to withstand the weather which is why they are perfect for capturing a scene come rain or shine.
I think, to fully appreciate the timelapse, is to understand how the cameras do their magic. They work by the camera capturing the film’s frames at a much lower rate than the standard 25 frames per second. When played back at normal speed, the captured work will be moving faster.
So say something was filmed at 1 frame every second, but played back at 25 frames per second, the result will play at 25 times speed; quite amazing how these tiny cameras can do such impressive things!
With our cameras all set, we left them alone to do their recording magic and checked back in once the recording was finished. Well, as you can see from the results, we have two breathtaking videos capturing the beauty of the sun. They painted the sky with orange and pink light and overall, make for a calming video experience.
These were such fun to create and hopefully, we can do more around the office soon!
