2016 has been a Busy Year for Soundview working with new and returning clients from different business sectors. In fact, it's been a great year making promotional video for websites, events and recruitment as well as T.V. adverts:

2016 Busy Year Gorgeous Destinations

Our continuing work for Visit Cornwall and Visit Devon meant taking to the air in a helicopter to video the South West for their new 4K aerial videos (a highlight of this can be seen above). The region looks spectacular from the air.

We have been out and about in some of the most beautiful locations in the South West and beyond to make destination videos for our clients. For instance, we have been in the far west of Cornwall in Penwith. And walking the spectacular cliffs of Dorset making videos for the South West Coast Path.

Our drone has taken to the air over the Severn Estuary to make a television advert for national Barton Parks’ Seascapes, in addition to flying over Dartmoor, Devon for an aerial video to promote their Glenholt, Plymouth site. Then of course it took in the North coast of  Cornwall in our web banner video for The Park, Mawgan Porth. We also flew over Luke Dillon surfing in our Perfect Storm video for Visit Cornwall And in our videos of Tintagel, Cornwall looked amazing from the air in the summer in our video for English Heritage.  As did the beach at Westward Hoe! for Historic England, their sister organisation.

2016 Historic Moments

Our work with Historic England also meant a visit to Wookey Hole to film witches’ marks. And we have other instances of recording history in the making. For instance, we have made videos for the Plymouth History Centre: the major changes and events that are all part of the exciting preparations for the Mayflower 400 celebrations in 2020. For instance, we captured the 2016 Plymouth Illuminate festival, a real highlight. And we got to see inside the Plymouth Records Office and SWFTA. Our team have been in close proximity to mummies, major works of art and maritime treasures – thanks to our collaboration with this amazing investment in Plymouth’s cultural future.

It was also great to capture Plymouth’s Diversity being celebrated during Black History Week. Similarly, it was an honour to produce videos for the 2016 Transat transatlantic yacht race on behalf of Sutton Harbour. And we also continued our work with the UK Safer Internet Centre. This was in preparation for the 2017 campaign promoting safe use of the internet, particularly amongst school children.

2016 Adrenaline-Inducing Activities and Events

Our work for Hangloose, Cornwall this year has meant some (literal and metaphoric) highs. We, rather than the drone, took to the air to make their Christmas advert: it’s not often you get to film Father Christmas on a zip wire. And of course, we had to try out their jumps in the name of research when making videos for Big Air, the Drop and K2 Climbing. Yes, the names say it all.

These haven’t been our only vertiginous experiences. We filmed from a helicopter for Visit Cornwall and Visit Devon’s new 4K aerial video of the South West. This footage will be used to promote the region internationally. And Treetops marked our continuing work for Millbrook, fantastic accommodation in North Devon.  And we hope soon to be looking down over the city of Plymouth whilst capturing the construction of some of its major building developments.

2016 Product and Recruitment Video

We’ve also continued to work for Royal Cornwall Hospital, producing recruitment videos to attract new staff and been working with international company Spirent Communications. 2016 Busy Year indeed: it’s truly been a great year and we are looking forward to 2017.
