Lets talk Tourism and 360 VR
The annual Tourism marketing event is held at West-point, Exeter and after ignoring the cold outside, people passionate about the industry were gathered to share ideas. It was fantastic to meet with and hear from all the innovative tourism business’s across the South West. Delegates attended from Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.
360 Virtual Reality Marketing Tourism
With three hundred delegates packed into the room over the two days, it was a great chance to share stories about what works. Soundview’s Managing Director Gareth Allen was invited to talk about how tourism businesses use Virtual Reality and 360 video. This cutting edge technology is the latest marketing tool.
From VR experiences, tours, animal close encounters, to flying down a zip wire, destinations and attractions are using 360 VR in new and exciting ways. We believe the possibilities for a truly immersive experience are endless.
Soundview has produced 360 and VR films for lots of South West businesses. We are always excited to explore new ways of using VR as a promotional tool.
VR 360 headset, a Big Hit.
But the event wasn’t just about talking tourism, it was also a chance for the Soundview team to showcase our VR video content at our conference stand. For many it’s the first time they’ve tried on a VR headset. We had some amazing feedback reminding us of the potential of VR. People can’t believe just how immersive an experience VR is.
And who knows, maybe in the future, we’ll be attending events like this in VR, sharing and collaborating in a virtual world or space. In fact, platforms like Facebook spaces are already making this reality. So, we look forward to meeting you soon, perhaps in cyberspace?
While we wait for this to happen, the Tourism Conference is always great to have the opportunity to spend a couple of days out of the office, catching up with old friends and meeting new business’s from the industry.
