Our latest creation with 360 VR, played at the massively popular New Scientist Live show in ExCel, London. However, you had to wait in line to watch because the videos were a big hit.  We worked with the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust to get up close to some furry (and scaly) friends to create an immersive video. Human and animals closer than ever before (in VR)!

New Scientist Live 2017

In our country’s capital city, an exciting weekend brings science experts and innovative ideas together. A host of guest speakers and award winning specialists show off their latest projects. For the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust their aim was to demonstrate their fantastic  animal enrichment programme. And VR video was a great way to do just that. Visitors to their stand could immerse themselves in the lives of the animals featured in the films: tigers, saltwater crocs, meerkats and Macaroni penguins. They were a big hit…

I don’t think any one video came out as a favourite, people liked them all, and you could tell which video they had chosen by their head movements!

Dr Joanna Newbolt, Higher Education Co-ordinator

Firstly, we were delighted that our videos featured at such a prestigious science event. But then to hear of the great success to follow, well it was music to our ears.

360 VR Videos Big Hit

Dr Amy Plowman, Director of Conservation and Education described the reactions of visitors to their popular stand:

There were some great reactions with people laughing, waving and even talking to the animals and quite a few little screams in places.

This is the second time our 360 VR films have featured at an event, and we are really pleased to hear their positive feedback.  The South West Coastpath Association had similar success when they showed our VR films at a tourism exhibition. And it’s no wonder. Audiences get a unique insight into our client’s world!

Plymouth 360 VR video production

The potential of VR is so exciting. When we showed our 360 VR films at the Devon Business Show , businesses  tried out our VR headset. Once in position, they experienced extreme rides at Hangloose, Cornwall and a tour of Plymouth’s historic heart, all from an armchair!

We are so pleased that VR video works well for our clients. Read more about how our VR adventures:
