What Is a Podcast?
Podcasts have been around for years and are a form of medium that is highly popular. They are an audio-only experience (Sometimes they might include a live camera of the recording) that will tell the listener a story, interview or information about different topics.
In the case of Liberty, it’s all about finance. From budgets to pensions, there is no topic too big or small that can’t be coved in the form of voice.
It allows those to listen in any location, either driving, working or just going about their day.
Audio is Key
Because there aren’t any visuals, the key focus is on the audio. Any slip-ups or audio blips need to be edited out and made as smooth and clear as possible.
We include music indents to guide the listeners to what part of the podcast they are at. At the start music will welcome them, it will fade down as the host start speaking until it completely stops. At this point, the listener should be completely invested in what the host is talking about.
Towards the end of the episode, the music can start to fade back in, indicating that time is nearly up. The podcast ends the same as how it started, with music.

Recording Process
We invited those from Liberty Wealth into our offices to record these episodes. Those who couldn’t attend would talk over a zoom meeting.
When recording through Zoom, we use their own recording plugin but we also use a second one as a backup. The last thing we need is to do a perfect recording and the recording gets corrupted.
Of course, in-person is preferred due to the quality control. However, the quality that zoom gives works well in these post-pandemic days.
We enjoyed working with Liberty Wealth and hope their podcasts have listened far and wide. We look forward to creating more of this different yet popular form of media again!
