An aerial video production featuring the Green Build Hub was commissioned by the Cornwall Sustainable Building Trust to show the building whilst it was still in its scaffold wrapper. The brief was to produce a film designed to encourage potential collaborators to get involved.
We made 3 flights over the hub, it was an early start as the Hub is situated on the entrance to the Eden Project Cornwall so we had to be done before the public was due to arrive.
Even though we have been involved with filming with the Green Build Hub right from the start, we were amazed how the aerial video from our Phantom 2 UAV showed how close the Building is situated from the biomes at the Eden Project.
To add to the fun we had to turn this video around quickly for the CSBT management to show potential investors, so with a few more shots to gather on the ground and a voice-over recorded in the car before Paul had to head off on the train for his meeting we got the pictures into the edit suite and had the video uploaded ready for viewing by the time his train pulled into the station!
The Green Build Hub is CSBT’s new base at the Eden Project. This innovative BREEAM Outstanding building will be open for business in summer 2015 and offers a range of exciting opportunities:
• A living laboratory where eco-building products will be installed, tested and monitored to produce objective performance data in a real building setting
• A training centre and a future base for degree courses in partnership with the Eden Project and others
• Encouraging inward investment by specialist green building and renewable energy suppliers by enabling them to showcase and test innovative products within the building
• Open to the public and Eden visitors showcasing the latest innovations in green building
• Available for hire as a conference and training space.
