Landscape for Life AONB Farming

We'd like to share one of our recent farming videos for Landscapes for Life, the National Association for Areas of Outstanding National Beauty. They do the important work of supporting 46 AONB's throughout the UK.

AONB Farming Videos: The Brief

Landscapes for Life commissioned a series of videos to act as case studies for farmers. They wanted to share the positives of a successful balance between farming and natural habitats. With the potential changes that Brexit represented, there was a sense of urgency. How could they communicate the benefits to new audiences quickly?

Yet Covid 19 made face to face contact impossible. So they decided to commission  this series of films. They approached us in late autumn and wanted to feature a number of farms. Each is a successful business that also supports wildlife and the natural world. In essence, they work with as well as in the landscape.

The Project

Ultimately, these videos tell the story of farmers and the essential role they have in maintaining AONB farming for future generations. It was a privilege to spend time with people so passionate about the landscape and the work that they do. We were also extremely lucky with the locations. Our drone gave as enviable views of among others Exmoor and Gloucestershire. It has been a great project to work on.

Each shoot was risk assessed for compliance with government guidelines and thankfully the weather was very kind to us. Already live and being used as part of a training package, there are plans for further films in the New Year.
