Celebrating Excellence and Inclusion: South West Tourism Awards.
Of course, as a finalist at an awards event, one reason why you are there is because you hope to win. But our message is, if you don’t, don’t be disappointed. And here’s why: because, just being a finalist at this awards ceremony, means you are already a winner. It may sound glib but it’s true. To be a finalist at the South West Excellence Awards means that you have reached their very high standards.
However, the finalists in our sponsored category for Inclusion and Access at the South West Tourism Excellence Awards are doing more than excelling. They are making a difference. We applaud them and all of the entrants in this category. Because of their work, more individuals and families can experience the best the South West has to offer. We believe that inclusion is imperative. As a DisabilityConfident Leader Organisation, we know that including everyone’s talents enriches all of our lives and makes what we do better. So, thank-you to the entrants for believing this too. And of course, a huge congratulations to the winners (see below).
Awards Venue: The Eden Project
Aptly, The Eden Project in Cornwall was the iconic setting for what is a celebration of the best of tourism and hospitality in the region. A thriving tourism sector is crucial to the local economy and one of the region’s key sectors. So, what better setting than one of the south west’s greatest tourism attractions. And we are proud to say that one of our films (above) kicked off the the ceremony.
The awards recognise excellence in a number of categories. From best Tourism Event to Unsung Hero, you can’t over estimate the dedication that goes into reaching the required standards. Tourism businesses return year after year, trying to go one better. Of course, all of that hard work means better customer experiences. Which includes better access and a more inclusion a win, win in our view. Congratulations to all of the finalists, across all the categories.
