Steph Middleton, Executive Director of FITB and her team visit expos across Europe and The Americas. It is going to show the fabulous adventures which await visitors to the Falkland Islands. The Soundview team spent three weeks filming on the islands earlier this year and we captured stunning scenery and amazing wildlife. The Falkland Islands are a true wilderness and birders’ paradise. As a result you can also see four species of penguin in one day, albatross, whales, dolphins and of course the giant elephant seals.
Falkland Islands Video and 360 VR Experiences
While on the islands Soundview filmed three VR Experiences and they were featuring penguins, elephant seals and wonderful views. The 360 videos are being used by the team at World Travel Market to transport viewers to the islands in virtual reality and will be viewed using the latest Oculus headset. This technology will give them a true sense of what it’s like to be up close with extraordinary wildlife.
The expo will also feature a rolling edit and will contain the many films we created around the island’s main areas of tourism. These films, among them history, wildlife, and `the big five’ celebrate the amazing natural and cultural uniqueness of the islands. Steph and her team have three days of meetings arranged with travel buyers and marketers eager to find out about the adventures the islands offer. Let’s hope that the films give them plenty to talk about!
