Glenholt Park is a Barton retirement village sandwiched between Plymouth and Dartmoor in South Devon. For their video, our production equipment really came into its own.
We rarely miss an opportunity to use our drone (UAV) on a shoot to capture aerial video, but sometimes the good old fashioned tried and tested techniques are the best ones and still give you stunning contemporary shots as you can see from the Glenholt Park video.
When we first got the drone to shoot aerial video we thought it would sound the death knell for our crane, or jib. If you don’t know what that is it’s pictured above in our Trebah video shoot.
So yes it’s a long arm with a camera on which gives you great views and movement into the treetops. Combine this with track and dolly – think the camera on a skateboard – to give smooth shots, and you have some great kit to capture superb shots. We produced smooth high definition video, reflecting the quality of the new homes on offer at the park and combined these with our super- slo-mo camera to capture nature and wildlife beautifully. Chris had to be really patient to capture a Woodpecker landing on the bird feeder for its afternoon snack.
