At Hangloose Adventures Eddie the Eagle described how he felt:
“I feel honoured to open these daredevil rides, Free fall and Vertigo 360. I haven’t free-fallen, with or without skis, for such a long time, so I am really excited to do it.”
Hangloose Adventures Eddie the Eagle
First, as press and media from all over the UK watched, he swung full circle on Vertigo 360. Next, he dangled and then fell into an enormous airbag on Freefall. Soundview filmed the event for Hangloose. In fact, one Soundview camera hung just above Eddie’s head, capturing his daring tumble towards earth.
The final film features this footage as well as interviews. Soundview’s Chris Dewar can also be seen in the video, setting up one of the cameras. ITN and MSN among others then embedded the videos on their news sites as can be seen on the Hangloose Facebook page. Brilliant publicity!
Hangloose Adventures
Hangloose is based at the Eden Project in Cornwall and has a number of fear inducing attractions. Like Vertigo and Freefall, the names Big Air, Sky Wire and The Drop give a good idea what sort of activities are available on site. Soundview has produced a number of their videos. And it’s always a pleasure to work with them because each project is an opportunity to exploit our equipment. A challenge we love!
Hangloose really know how to use video well. Their promotional Christmas video was watched hundreds of thousands of times! Meanwhile, some of our recent work for Hangloose has meant that visitors who can’t or don’t want to take the leap can experience the activities on offer via VR 360 video. The 360 tour experience is on offer in their all weather dome.
