Soundview’s Managing Director, Gareth Allen was selected as one of the seventeen strong cohort. Gareth is proud to have grown up in Plymouth and is a great advocate of the city, so this was an opportunity he didn’t want to miss out on.
The year long project had its highs and lows. Not least kicking off in middle of a lockdown with the members of the programme trying to network and get to know each other on Teams, not an easy process!
However, during the Summer of 2021 the group was able to finally come together, face to face and meet up at different and inspiring venues across the city. At these gatherings we were able to share, ideas, learning and stories.
The programme ended with a day long conference at the university, brining together the iLead and Cultivator programmes. Cultivator was a similar project running in parallel in Cornwall. At the conference a film commissioned by The University of Plymouth and created by Soundview was premiered to great acclaim.
The connections and contacts made during the last year have been invaluable and the group will continue to nurture their relationships and learning long into the future.
