In our Moorland Garden Hotel Video, we knew straight away that our drone would be an essential part of the film.

Given the location on the edge of Dartmoor and with nine acres of garden, an aerial video of the hotel and grounds was a must. We had a really successful flight through the grounds on a beautiful July day, capturing the hotel from above, soaring through the meadow and garden. The landscape looks exquisite.

Guests can have a cream tea picnic laid out for them in the grounds-something we featured in the video because it really helped capture how lovely the garden is. We also featured the fabulous restaurant and filmed the kitchen hard at work preparing their top-notch food.

Our Stars

We had two extras, or should I say stars, along for the filming. Zack Allen, a student from Plymstock School on a week’s work experience and Murphy, a dog from St Austell, were there to help us out. Because the hotel is family and dog friendly, we recruited their help to appear in the video. And yes … Zack is a relative of our Creative Director Gareth and Murphy are sort of a relative of our Director of Post Production Chris…well it’s good to keep it in the family.
