Plenty of Sunshine at Marketing Webinar

We were completely blown away by the reaction to our recent marketing webinar - Bring Me Sunshine. Fifty plus delegates attended the event, where the idea was to bring some light to beleaguered tourism and hospitality businesses. A sector which has been particularly hard-hit by the global pandemic.

Bring Me Sunshine Webinar

Tourism in the south west is a key employer and driver of the economy. 2021 represents a chance for the sector to bounce back and many of our clients have an important role in this. Which is why we organised an event around the theme of recovery. Our contributors shared information to help businesses make the most of future opportunities. So that when the economy begins to unlock, businesses can maximise their returns.
Our panel of experts included Robin Barker, Director of Services for Tourism who shared predictions for 2021. For example, who’s likely to visit the region and when. With his finger on the pulse of future tourism trends, Robin gave hope for recovery. Recent polls tell of growing numbers of UK citizens planning a UK holiday.

Robin barker shares a slide showing growing confidence for a UK trip.

Another of our speakers, Pete Stevens from Clockwork Marketing, gave tips on using analytics to find out who’s considering a visit. While Louise Midgley, PR Consultant, described ways to reach new potential customers. Finally, our own Gareth Allen explored how to use visuals in marketing to reach as many people as possible. The feedback for these sessions was really positive, sunshine really was order of the day .

Chance to Chat and Share Ideas

The  delegates also welcomed the opportunity to chat together in breakout rooms and ask questions of our panel of experts. It was the perfect tonic for a Thursday Morning in the middle of a lockdown winter. Some  of the delegates were furloughed, others were juggling their home-schooling responsibilites  and many just simply hadn’t had the chance to talk to others in their sector for months and months.
We knew it was going to be an insightful session for everyone, but we could not have predicted  just how valuable it was going to be given the current circumstances. So a big thank you to all our contributors and attendees, and watch this space for future events.
