South West comes out top at the National Tourism Awards

Hear hear... to the best region for the 6th year running. The South West has come out on top for the 6th year running at this year's National Tourism Awards. What a fantastic achievement for our region and for the tourism industry here in the South West.

16 of the national awards were presented to businesses from the South West. Once again, the South West was awarded the top position for quality. Three nominees took home gold in the National awards. Six Silver awards and seven Bronze awards were also rewarded to the region. Robin Barker from South West awards organisers Services for Tourism commented:

“These awards mean so much to those taking part and it’s wonderful to share in their celebrations at the national event.  It’s also great to see the continued success of the South West and the region ‘heading the quality charts’ once again.”

Award nights

We sponsor the South West Tourism awards so it is great to see the region doing really well nationally. Every year at the regional awards night we are blown away by the standard of the entrants. As a video production company based in Plymouth, we work throughout the South West; many of our clients are tourism businesses. When on a shoot we are lucky enough to film in some fantastic places: we know how great the South West is as a visitor destination. In fact, we’ve worked with clients who have gained national awards and can vouch for the excellent experiences they offer.

At awards nights, all of the tourism businesses have one thing in common: the want to offer tourists excellence. So let’s raise a glass to the South West as the top region for Tourism for the 6th year running!
