The Box Opening Date Announced
We have been lucky enough to film inside The Box as it nears its completion. On this occasion it was to hear about that all important opening date. It’s looking fabulous, as you can see from the sneaky peeks we captured but its been a long journey to get to here. The multi-million pound extension and renovation of Plymouth’s museum and art gallery has taken over four years. During that time the doors have been closed to the public as major construction took place place.
Now, the project is close to its end, the collections are moving back and some new ones moving in. This includes Gus Hunnybun, featured in our video, a firm childhood favourite for those of you who grew up in the region. We can’t ignore either the life-size woolly mammoth who features here and our previous blog. We can promise you a fantastic experience if you decide to visit. The Box is a truly stunning building and its collections will draw visitors from all over the world. Look out for our work in the media lab, where our film made up of archive footage spans three walls. Its something we are really proud of.
Video Production for The Box Plymouth
Video is a great way to communicate a message, so what better way to announce your opening date. In fact, The Box has used video to keep the public informed through-out the project. At each stage they have shared what they are doing, from packing up collections to taking their exhibits on the road. We have produced this content for The Box over the four year period, keeping the public and the press up-to-date with the exciting work they’ve been doing.
