Band of Brothers
Gareth and Chris spent 9 days in Aldbourne helping with TimeTeam. Gareth was one of the camera operators, following the team as they dug up fascinating artefacts from the WWII camp. Chris was squirrelled away editing as the days went on to produce TimeTeams’ “Dig Watch” and latterly the ‘Digging Band of Brothers’ full episode.
TimeTeam Digital – “He’s back! Sir Tony Robinson returns to TimeTeam to investigate the US 101st Airborne Division in Britain. The crew have been invited to Aldbourne, Wiltshire, by Operation Nightingale, on the 80th anniversary since Easy Company were stationed here in 1943, shortly before D-Day. Working alongside service men and women from the US and UK, the team have just over a week to investigate the camp, once home to the iconic ‘Band of Brothers.”
First airing on Channel 4 in 1994, TimeTeam became one of the UK’s most beloved and long-running TV shows. The ground-breaking history series presented by Tony Robinson helped to popularise the field of archaeology and has since been watched in over 50 countries worldwide!”
What did we have to say about it?
“There is a surprising amount of hard work and effort that goes into every TimeTeam dig, we are excited to be part of the digs and getting over 1 million views for any video is such an achievement. We have a couple more TimeTeams digs from this year in the can which Chris will be editing over the coming months and we cannot wait to share them with the legions of fans.” – Gareth Allen, Director of SoundView Media.
“It’s with great delight that ‘Digging Band of Brothers’ went past 1 million views in the early hours of Monday morning. The extra special ingredient in this video is the return of Sir Tony Robinson. Fans of the original show voiced their appreciation of Sir Tony’s energy and enthusiasm throughout the video saying it reminded them of Sunday afternoons watching the show on the telly. We are very proud to be part of TimeTeam and achievements like this are only a testament to the talent, passion, and hard work of everyone involved.’’ – Chris Dewar, Director of Post Production at SoundView.
