Trevor Bell Exhibition at The Box Plymouth

Our latest video for The Box Plymouth captures their most recent event `Trans-form'. This prestigious Trevor Bell exhibition opened with a spectacular performance. With 11 monumental paintings, 'Trans-form' is a significant show of the artist's later works. Both the accompanying  music and choreography were inspired by the art work on display.

The Trevor bell exhibition was the last that Trevor worked on before his death in 2017. A significant artist who famously worked in the 1950s in St Ives Cornwall,  he helped establish British art on the international scene. With artists such as Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth, St Ives was at that time the epicentre of British abstract art.

Trevor Bell Exhibition Video – The Box Plymouth

Soundview media has been lucky enough to be working with The Box Plymouth since 2015. Our videos capture the changes from behind the scenes as Plymouth’s museum and art gallery transform into a new cultural centre.  The Box will open to the public in 2020. It will bring together collections that once were scattered throughout the city.   And all in time for the 2020 Mayflower celebrations. See how some of the future exhibits are getting on in our  Naval iconic Figureheads film.

This video is the latest instalment from a collection of films we have produced for The Box. Providing a digital journey of the entire project, the videos share each stage of the transformation and will ultimately represent a video legacy for future generations.
