The Market Hall in Devonport is a hub for all things immersive tech. Home to Europe’s largest immersive dome and a valued partner to the Includiverse team.  The latest event to be held there was LifeIn AI, which returned for its second year as the South West’s largest major open-access AI event. Founded by Christina Wilkins and Matt Fleming, the event was backed by  University of Plymouth, City College Plymouth and Babcock International Group, just to name a few. The packed schedule included keynote speeches, workshops and live tech demonstration inside the immersive dome itself. We had the honour of being first on the line-up.

The Includiverse brought our smart glasses accessible solution to LifeIn AI

Immersive Accessibility

It’s always a pleasure to demonstrate “Screenbuddy”, our smart glasses accessible solution to the general public. The in-glasses subtitles help to increase access to digital media and SoundView’s/University Of Plymouth’s immersive film, featuing marine autonomy, was being showcased in the 360 dome. Guest of honour was Minister of State for Defence, Lord Coaker, who chatted to the team about their work in immersive tech and tried out Screenbuddy for himself, he was visibly impressed.

The event was also live streamed on LinkedIn with our  managing director Gareth Allen contributing in his role as Director of Digital Plymouth. Gareth is no stranger to live podcasts and his latest appearance is available now.
