Visit ‘Rural’ Dorset
Iconic locations
The film is called ‘Explore Dorset’ and we were lucky enough to do that. We filmed at some fantastic and iconic locations. Our first spot, Golds Hill, Shaftesbury, was famously the setting Ridley Scott’s Hovis bread advert. It was once voted the favourite advertisement of all time. We also filmed at Cern Abbas, and captured its world famous giant, cut into the hillside. With so many iconic landmarks, like Sherborne below, we captured some of our best footage with our drone.
Aerial video
We took to the air to get some great views, sharing the skies with swallows at Sherborne castle and kestrels at Colmer’s Hill. Aerial video is the best way to get a view of a location and gives a great insight into destinations that visitors might not otherwise have. See our blog about aerial video. But our video wasn’t only about the views. Our brief was to capture some of the great activities on offer to those lucky enough to visit Dorset.
Busy GoPro
And at whatever pace suits you, there’s a wide choice of activities in rural Dorset. From cycling to flying, off-road quad biking to donkey walking, it has it all. With this range of activities on offer, our action camera was an essential tool in our kit. Filming with a GoPro is a great way to get a capture action. So, attached to helmets, donkeys, bikes and quad bikes our GoPro had a very busy and thrilling day. And all in all it wasn’t too bad for us either – we got to work in some fantastic locations.
